Mutual Funds Against Cancer

MFAC has been selected for a fourth consecutive year as “Charity of Choice” for the Annual Mutual Fund Industry Awards to be held on April 15, 2010 at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City.   See highlights from 2009.

This year MFAC will present its inaugural Expect Miracles Awards, which will recognize people and firms within the mutual fund community for their outstanding contributions to the fight against cancer.

Categories that recognize a Company\Firm

Corporate Commitment Award

Recognizes a firm whose commitment to the fight against cancer is demonstrated throughout the organization in a number of ways, including but not limited to annual corporate giving to cancer-related organizations and corporate sponsorship of, and employee involvement in cancer-related programs and events.

Company for a Cure Award

Recognizes a firm for an innovative initiative or event in 2009 that helped to further cancer awareness, raise funds and fund cancer-related programs.

Categories that recognize an Individual

Miracle Maker Leadership Award

Recognizes an individual at an executive or board level within a firm who has demonstrated long-standing personal leadership in cancer advocacy through fundraising, organizing or board participation that has had a measurable impact on cancer research, programs or patient care

Inspirational Contributor Award

Recognizes an individual whose personal efforts helped to ensure the success of a cancer-related project, event or fundraising initiative in 2009.

Winners will be selected by the Expect Miracles Awards Committee following its evaluation of all nominations.
